Movement and Dance Storyhour

Hmmm, what a coincidence. The theme of this storytime was movement and dance and THE BABIES NEVER SAT STILL!!!  They were FULL of movement and dance. It's just absurd how fast they're growing up! I think I actually heard Alexandria pipe up with, "Now it's done!" when we started in on the Teddy Bear song.

Books:
I Can Fly by Ruth Kraus. This book was written in 1951, but it's still as much fun as ever. Ruth Kraus also gave us the even more evergreen Carrot Seed. Her books are just what babies like best: short but with a lot of action.
Moon Dance, a board book by Christian Lassen. This book has a nice, gentle, swaying rhythm. I turned off the lights to read this night time, under the sea story. Maybe I should have left them off.
Baby Danced the Polka by Karen Beaumont. This really is a great book. You'll have to take my word for it, check it out, and read it to your babies some time because by this time, storytime was craaaaazzzy!!!
Let's Dance, Little Pookie! by Sandra Boynton. I love everything by Sandra Boynton, for reading and for dancing to.

Try:  Waddle! by Rufus Butler Seder
         Doreen Cronin
Songs:
All our favorites.

Looks like a perfect little angel, doesn't she?!!!

Look at these new cuties!!!

Ella came back for a visit. So grown up.
